Virtual Field Trip

           A virtual field trip is a great toll for the modern teacher.  A virtual field trip is a way to take the whole class on a trip across the globe without ever having to leave the comfort of the classroom.  Students can look at pictures of locations and learn facts along the way.

            I could easily use a virtual tour in my physical education class.  Every 4 years the world cup is held.  My virtual tour would be on the world cup.  I would set up the virtual tour to take us through all the different cities of the world cups and the different stadiums.  This would include pictures and facts along the way.

            The Pros of a virtual tour are that is very cost effective, students do not have to get a passport, and a tour will never get rained out.  The cons of a virtual tours are that they require a a lot of set up time, if the computer is not open you cannot take the tour and all students have to be able to work with a computer.
